2022 Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay

Made from only the finest parcels of Burgundian (Dijon) clones B95 and B76. Grapes were hand picked from selected low yielding vines at our Mappinga Road estate. Partially whole bunch pressed then wild yeast fermented in 100% French oak barrels for ten months. This generously complex wine showcases wonderful tropical fruit aromas and rewards with delightful flavours of lychee, white peach, toasted nuts and green apple. Beautifully balanced with a mineral line throughout and a lingering, flinty finish. Drinking beautifully now but will reward with careful cellaring.
